Russian imperial stout.
On the nose, pleasant roasted notes bring hints of dark chocolate accompanied by strong malt notes and a timid fruity character brought on by the English yeast (prunes, raisin, butterscotch and star anise).
The body is rich and creamy. On the palate, toasted bread, stewed dark fruits and milk chocolate express themselves initially, making way for more earthy and herbaceous notes towards the end.
The finish is moderately bitter giving the impression of mildly sweet dark chocolate.
