Retour du Bouleau is an amber Scottish Ale, infused with chaga.
Its roasted and earthy aromas blend with notes of maple syrup, thanks to the addition of this mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) during brewing.
Used for centuries in herbal tea for its antioxidant properties and its delicately woody flavor, chaga is a mushroom that primarily parasites birch trees, hence its name, Retour du Bouleau (Return of the Birch).
We are also making a nod to "retour du boulot" (back from work), as this beer is both easy to drink and refreshing!
