It isn't every year that Sir John strikes gold, but this year, we stumbled upon a whole goldmine!
Deep in the heart of the American Midwest, we literally fell in love with our friends at Lumen Beer Co., a microbrewery in Omaha, Nebraska.
After brewing a fantastic collaboration with them last winter, we decided to do it again for our anniversary.
The result? This tomato-free IPA.
No, don't worry: no fruit was harmed during the brewing of this beer.
And if you're among those who still believe the tomato is a vegetable, take comfort in knowing that the only vegetable harmed during the creation of this beer was our brewer.
This tomato-free IPA is hopped with Citra, Citra Cryo, Citra HyperBoost, Tropical Fusion, Nectaron, as well as Maui Nelson Hop Kief.
The result is a 100% Sir John beer: generously fruity, with notes reminiscent of stone fruits, backed by complex citrus and tropical fruit aromas.
It all finishes with delicate resinous notes that evoke the vast forests of Nebraska.
Hops: Citra, Citra Cryo, Citra HyperBoost, Tropical Fusion, Nectaron & Maui Nelson Hop Kief.
