We owe part of Limoilou’s name to William Hedley Anderson, the son of Scottish parents, a kind of initiator of a working-class neighborhood named Hedleyville.
It was only natural to create a scotch ale in honor of the farmer, while also imagining him enjoying a drink that celebrates his own heritage.
