La Brabançonne

La Brabançonne, the Belgian national anthem, is a true tribute to their brewing culture! This is the first “Gueuze” style beer brewed here. This bottle contains a blend of spontaneously fermented beers from 2019, 2020, and 2021, aged in oak barrels.

No additives are included; the youngest spontaneously fermented beer provides the necessary sugar for the second fermentation in the bottle. The older beers contribute character to the final product. After bottling, the bottles were stored horizontally for a year and a half in our warm room to allow for carbonation. The ingredients come from the Quebec terroir. The beers are brewed with 35% raw wheat and 65% malted barley. We use only aged hops during the boil.

La Brabançonne features a golden color with notes of leather and wood. To fully enjoy each aroma, we recommend serving it in a traditional glass for gueuze. The ideal storage and serving temperature is between 6 and 12 degrees Celsius.

This evolving beer gains complexity with age. Unfiltered, unpasteurized.

*For storage, keep the bottles out of direct sunlight.
