This style of beer, with a history dating back several centuries, is sometimes called a German stout, but that's not the case.
It's brewed with roasted black malt, but we use husked malt, which results in a very smooth and drinkable beer with less roasted bitterness than stouts. And to top it off, it's a lager beer.
If you've always been hesitant to try dark beers, give this one a shot!
It's more like a black pilsner - lighter body, extreme drinkability, without the roasted bitterness. Prost!
