Limoilou is partly due to William Hedley Anderson, son of Scottish parents, a sort of initiator of a working class neighborhood called Hedleyville.
It was only natural to make a scotch ale in honor of the farmer, and at the same time to imagine him pouring himself one in honor of his own origins.
